LOCATION

The landscape around Puig de Bonany, in the north-east of Mallorca, is captivating for its beauty, which combines areas of pine and holm oak forest with other cultivated areas where olive trees, carob trees, fig trees, cereals and vines abound. At its foot is the small town of Petra, which still conserves many aspects of the most genuine and traditional Mallorca. A stroll through the old streets of the village or along the many rural roads of the municipality will allow you to discover places and spots full of nature, history and heritage. Life here still retains the tranquillity, comfort and humanity of a small village where everyone knows everyone else, and there is an attractive variety of restaurants and small shops where you can enjoy the gastronomic offer and traditional local products.

The finca is a short walk from the village and is very well connected to Manacor (15 minutes), Palma (41 minutes) and the airport (33 minutes).

 

DESCRIPTION

Can Estepa is easily accessed from a paved road that connects with the road leading to Petra. The finca, with a surface area of 32.131m2, is divided into two areas; an area for cultivation next to the road and another, on a higher level, surrounded by native plants and trees, including pines, carob trees and wild olive trees. It is in this area, which enjoys total privacy and splendid views towards the landscape, that the house is located, distributed in two independent buildings and connected by a Mediterranean-inspired garden of plants and trees that blend into the surrounding landscape.

Access to the house is from the rear façade, and already in the entrance hall there is a surprising framed view of the garden and the distant landscape. From here, on the right, the first volume contains the open-plan kitchen and dining room, followed by the living room, separated by a sculptural fireplace.

The second volume, facing the Puig de Bonany, is mainly dedicated to the master bedroom, which includes a dressing area, fireplace, private terrace and a large open bathroom with bathtub, separate toilet and an outdoor shower located in a private courtyard. In addition, in this volume there is a room that can be used as an auxiliary bedroom as well as a TV room.

At the intersection between these two volumes is a large partially covered pergola facing south and open to the garden with barbecue, dining and living areas.

The third volume, to the right from the entrance hall, houses the guest toilet and two double bedrooms, both facing south, with en suite bathrooms and private terraces opening onto the garden. Below this volume, with independent access from the rear façade, is the basement, with a separate storage room and technical room.

The pool area is at a lower level, which gives it privacy and does not interrupt the views from the house. It is accessed via a path that runs through the garden. The infinity pool, open to the landscape, has a surface area of 35m2. Next to the pool there is a paved solarium, a pergola and the second building of the property, which includes a large studio, a gymnasium with bathroom and pre-installation for a sauna and a garage for two cars accessed from the rear façade.

All the main interior spaces of the two buildings have wooden beamed ceilings, and are generously sized, harmonious and very luminous thanks to the large openings, with direct access to the outside. The combination of exterior and interior finishes is based on natural materials such as stone, wood, ceramics and iron, which provide warmth, comfort and guarantee the perfect integration of the house into the landscape.
